MAC Budapest wins the EWHL bronze medal

In the bronze medal games MAC Budapest won against EC Graz Huskies with a total score of 11-7 after two games. So 18 great and mostly beautiful goals show on one side the offensive power on both sides but also the defensive weaknesses. And while after the 8-3 in game one (1) in the Merkur arena in Graz everyone already expected MAC to “play the medals home” in second. But a 0-3 after first period shocked not only the home team but also their fans. Because in that moment the Huskies were just 2 goals away from an unbelievable “sport wonder”. However – MAC came back to the game by scoring 3 unanswered goals. A onetime in power play decided the game in the end for the league newcomer (3-4), but the result was not enough to turn the series.
